A Brief Pause

Hey everyone!

So, since there are a LOT of kinks to work out in this project -- figuring out fur grooming, learning to texture paint and rig in an entirely new software, etc. --  I've decided to pause billing for this month. What this means is you will not be charged for the month of May. Those of you who pledged for the year (thank you for that, by the way!) will get an extra month tacked on at the end. You don't need to do anything on your end. You won't be charged on May 31st, and billing will simply resume Jun 31st and continue as normal.

I've been working crazy hours to try and get this project wrapped up (literally, 8pm-3am every night), but it's still taking a while, so I feel bad about charging you folks and only posting WIPs.

At the same time, I don't want to rush anything because this is my chance to get the workflow figured out for future characters. I've essentially left Blender behind, which means figuring out which software to use and learning how to use it, and that's been rough -- but as you've seen with that fluffy fur I've shown off, very rewarding! Fur is something Blender struggles with, so this move was necessary.

Once this project is complete, I estimate future characters taking less than 2 weeks each to do. I already have my sculpting, retopology, texturing and fur process down to a science. Rigging is the next and final bit to figure out.

Now, I won't be gone all month. I will likely be done and posting full animations/stills in about 2 weeks, but that's fine. You can have 2 weeks of extra patron content on the house ;3
