November 2025 Status Report

While it took on the longer end of 2 of this month's first weeks, the Melody-Cadence fight was successfully wrapped up with testing, fixing, balancing, loss scenes, and final touches, along with editing on the last few of the victory scenes Val did.

Once v27.2 was out, I took a brief pause before digging into the post-release bug fixing patch and getting it out for people. It should be the only bug fix patch the update will need, unless something unexpected comes up.

The second half of this month was partly dedicated to contacting artists to check in on progress or get the ball rolling on some new commissions, as well as to implementing new art. The manticore CG still needs to be actually implemented, which I'll be working on soon, but the art for a Capital character I plan to introduce in v27.3 is now set up and ready to go.

Additionally, in preparation for working on my plans for the v27.3 update, I've looked into some code I set up about 2 years ago to lay the groundwork for when I'd get around to it. I had to bap that old draft with a hammer a lot as I set up the new function, but it should all be working fine and dandy now, with extra testing to make sure.

While I could probably jump right into doing the stamp acquisition stuff for the Aphrodesia District, I think my brain would melt if I tried to do more Melody & Cadence or music-related/focused content right away. So for the sake of keeping things fresh, v27.3 will be a bit of an eclectic interlude before we get back to the stamp hunt with the new year.
