I'm pretty sure it was the language used in the changelog, but may swap future changelog posts to free members+paid members to possibly get around this issue? But I'm not sure if it actually does or not as free members is a newer feature and it's not exactly described if this counts for not being public? Can test it with the soonish to be bug fix patch post though!
Regardless, the game will continue to always be freely available and is not being paywalled in any real capacity, and can be acquired in all of the places it normally can be with no cost.
