Paragon Campaign Dashboard: Campaign Management

Hello GMs,

Here's a big new feature set for Paragon Campaign Dashboard. I've used PCD for several different campaigns since I launched the app, so I needed a way to better organize my cards and dashboards.

If you're pledged at the Epic Tier and logged into Paragon Campaign Dashboard, you can use the Campaigns sidebar to create and manage campaigns. Cards and dashboards created outside of a campaign will be part of the "default campaign". Once a campaign is active, you'll only see items that are part of the active campaign (or the default campaign). You can easily move items from the default campaign into the active campaign.

I'm not 100% sure on the design here, but I figured it was time to ship something and just see how well it works. One priority is to keep the app working perfectly for users who don't need to use this feature at all, while making it easy to gradually adopt Campaign Management once you are ready to start using PCD for multiple campaigns.

As always, I'd love to hear your feedback on the features.

Happy GMing!

Paragon Campaign Dashboard: Campaign Management

Comments

I think what's happening here is that dashboards in the "default campaign" will appear in all campaigns. If you've assigned a dashboard to a particular campaign, it will only appear in the navigation when that campaign is active. When a campaign is active, dashboards from the default campaign have a button you can click to assign them to the active campaign. The reason for this behavior is to allow you to transition from just using the default campaign, to using the full campaign management set. I understand it's a bit confusing. I'll see about providing some better guidance for this. Hope that helps, let me know if you have other questions!

Is there any guidance to Campaign building? The issue I've run into is every time I try and create a Campaign its unclear why or what each dashboard is doing in that campaign. There is lot of bleed over of dashboards, but sometimes not? and removing them ends up deleting them sometimes.

I've used it for both. The Player View is good for online games, but the regular view on its own is good as a notes app for your device at the table.

Paragon is for online games not in person games correct?

Really intriguing, I'm going to try this out for my next campaign arc! I may have forgotten and/or nuked it while playing around in the past, but is there an example or demo board out there for some inspiration/hands on learning? No worries if not 🙂

Great question Caleb! While there's no specific integration between the apps, the Paragon Dashboard Web Frame card is great for hosting an Improved Initiative Player View.

Evan Bailey

One question: Is Improved Initiative integrated into Paragon in any way? I love them both, and it's been my #1 on my wish list for ages!
