Chapter 72: Future Plans
Added 2025-10-23 14:50:42 +0000 UTCErwin chose the Muggle way of travel and flew back to London.
He didn't go to the manor that Nicolas gave him first, but went back to his own home instead.
Walking into the house that he hadn't returned to for more than a month, Erwin didn't feel much.
Probably because, since he went to Hogwarts, he knew that this place could only be a temporary residence.
He couldn't afford to feel like a wanderer returning home.
The next day, after receiving a letter from Erwin, Cho ran to his house very early.
Looking at the boy whom she hadn't seen for more than a month, Cho was both happy and angry.
She was happy to see someone she had been thinking about again and again.
What made her angry was that this guy had been gone for a month, and while he'd sent letters back at the beginning, he hadn't even replied after that.
She puffed out her cheeks and looked at Erwin crossly, the young girl showing how unhappy she was.
Erwin knew he was in the wrong.
After the appearance of Fleur, the situation between them had become more and more complicated, and he'd been reluctant to face the situation.
He quickly walked to Cho's side, gently hugged her, and kept talking sweetly to smooth things over.
It didn't take long for Cho to be coaxed into a happy smile, her face turning pink.
The two stayed close for a while, and Cho asked about Erwin's life in France during this time.
Erwin hesitated for a moment, feeling that it wouldn't be a long-term solution to hide the matter of Fleur from Cho, so he simply told her what had happened.
The young witch looked calm, and after listening to Erwin's story quietly, she finally spoke.
"So you went to France and got a fiancée?"
Erwin nodded and looked at Cho nervously, but her next sentence made his scalp tingle even more.
"Did you tell Hermione about this?"
Erwin hadn't thought that Cho would even know about him and Hermione. He'd thought he was hiding it well.
‘That…’
Looking at Erwin's nervous reaction, Cho finally couldn't help it and burst out laughing.
"Okay, stop it. I'll stop teasing you."
"Actually, this kind of thing is very common in the wizarding world. Some pure-blood families often arrange multiple marriages for the continuation of their bloodline."
"You are the only one left in your family. I can understand the pressure you're under. We’re still young anyway, no use talking about this now."
She gently touched Erwin's face, speaking thoughtfully.
Seeing Cho being so understanding, Erwin kissed her forehead lightly.
He said with mock solemnity, "You understand me best, Cho. For the continuation of the family, I have an obligation. It's nothing to suffer or be tired!"
Cho rolled her beautiful eyes, speechless about Erwin's attempt to make himself sound noble.
"However, if you dare to abandon me because of others, I will not let you go."
Cho pretended to be fierce as she said this, and a pair of small hands quietly moved to Erwin's side and pinched him.
Erwin pretended to be in pain.
Although Cho knew she hadn't used much force, he still rubbed the spot cooperatively.
This was the little game between them.
Some exaggerated reactions could always strengthen their connection.
The two stayed together until the evening before Erwin sent Cho, who was reluctant to part, home.

"So we need more potions now. Or rather, can you help me train a group of potion-making talents?"
Erwin rested on Arya's slender, elegant lap, listening to her recount some of the recent events in Knockturn Alley.
Because of Erwin's support, Arya's business had grown significantly recently, and she had recruited more than a dozen wizards.
But this was also a hidden danger.
All of Arya's expansion had been achieved only with the resources provided by Erwin.
If Erwin was busy with other things for a while, or if it was inconvenient to hand over potions to Arya, her business would definitely be affected.
And Erwin didn't want to keep making potions himself.
Obviously, the reason to have people working for him was to save himself trouble.
How could he make them rely on him all the time? He'd just be the tool person himself then.
After listening, Arya also felt that it was time to train some people in potion-making.
Placing both hands on Arya's lap, Erwin sat up.
"How many of our people have a good level of potion-making ability now?"
"There are two."
Arya thought for a moment and replied.
"Call them over, and then have them sign a contract. I will provide some special brewing methods. Although they won't be able to make difficult potions, they can achieve good quality with some commonly used ones."
Arya's eyes lit up when she heard this.
If Erwin trained these two people, then some simple potions wouldn't need his involvement anymore.
She immediately said she would arrange it.
Erwin was very satisfied with her decisive manner, especially when she was in front of him and as gentle as water.
This gave him a different experience.
During this period of time, he had basically been staying at Arya's place, with someone waiting on him every day. He was simply reluctant to leave.
It was not until the last two days of summer vacation, when Cho and Hermione asked him to accompany them to Diagon Alley to buy school supplies, that he walked out of this comfortable situation with difficulty.
Looking at Arya's reluctant eyes and caring instructions, Erwin had to admit that older women really knew how to take care of people.

"Erwin, over here!"
Hermione excitedly waved to Erwin, and he walked over.
Two beautiful girls, Hermione and Cho, arm in arm, were waiting for him at the entrance to Diagon Alley.
Strange to say, the tension between the two girls had disappeared since the last time he'd told Hermione what Cho had said.
And somehow, since then, the relationship between the two had been getting better and better.
They often came to Diagon Alley together for dessert.
Erwin was very puzzled about this.
Women were indeed the most difficult book to read.
The three walked together through Diagon Alley, Hermione and Cho each holding one of Erwin's arms.
Two young and beautiful girls and a handsome boy became eye-catching on the street, attracting the attention of many pedestrians.
Some of the Hogwarts students recognized Erwin and looked at him with awe.
"There they go. I don't know how they'll gossip about this when we get back to school."
Hermione said, a little worried, but Erwin was very relaxed about it.
"They must be very envious of me having two such beautiful friends."
Erwin said proudly, and his smug performance earned eye rolls from both girls.
