I've been working on this piece while juggling other things this month. I originally wanted it to be in a horizontal 16:9 ratio to make it feel like a screenshot from a movie. But I figured vertical composition would work best with Instagram. Lately, I have been wondering if I should remain faithful to the original vision for my artwork or try to adjust to social media to reach more people. Somebody should study the effect of social media on contemporary art :')))
As usual, I didn't plan to animate it but I found myself opting for animation to convey more of the story. I'm also kind of practicing and learning at the same time because I've wanted to make an artsy short film for the longest time now. I hope I live long enough for that to happen hehe
I'm not very happy with the result and I might tweak it some more. I want this to look really cool because mr.pelican and the girl in yellow have been running around looking for the sea all these years, and as a kind god, I want give them this happy moment !!!! ;---;
