How is this month treating you so far? It was a chaotic couple of weeks for me but things are nice and peaceful and now and I’m ready to share this process with you all!
This idea was born when I was doodling mindlessly a few months ago, I loved it and kept it for when I don’t have any ideas to draw. You can see the initial doodle in the second picture. I feel like I wasn’t able to keep the looseness and feeling of the sketch though. This always happens since I use a lot of hard edges and mostly lasso tool, but that’s okay, the final result looks nice as well.
As usual, I started with blocking big shapes in their local color then added light and shadow and other details. I think for me the key to creating a complete scene with a background is to divide the process into small steps to avoid being overwhelmed. I still get overwhelmed when creating a lot of details, but I’m learning 3D since it helps in speeding up the process tons!
