It’s the month of my birthday, so I hope it’s extra bright and happy for everyone!!

I made a little GIF to show the process of this recent piece. I was so lazy and unmotivated to start this one so I went to play around in Blender and created the light house and the clouds. It was so much fun to see modeling in 3D becoming a lot more intuitive than it usually is for me. Sometimes a blank canvas is really scary, so playing in blender or changing things up a bit always helps in easing that fear, would recommend 10/10. I painted over the lighthouse 3D model starting with big flat shapes, then slowly adding smaller elements and figuring out the lighting. I ended up changing the shape of the clouds completely in Photoshop, because they felt a little rigid and I wanted them to be super fluffy. For the night version I added a deep blue adjustment layer and erased it from the windows and the elements I want to add green light to.
