The Yankees are going to the 2025 ALDS

A star was born on a Thursday night in the Bronx. Cam Schlittler, who started this season in Double-A, pitched the Yankees to the ALDS with a masterpiece against the Red Sox in Game 3 of the Wild Card Series. Eight shutout innings and 12 strikeouts, a franchise record for a rookie in the postseason. Marvelous is an understatement.

The Red Sox played a sloppy game -- a sloppy last two games, really -- and let the Yankees score four runs in the fourth inning thanks to a bloop that fell in and a ground ball to first base that was turned into zero outs. A 4-0 final score. The Yankees are the first team in the 12-team postseason field era to lose Game 1 and come back to win the series.

More to come Friday. The ALDS begins Saturday in Toronto.

Thats funny. Im remember sitting on the floor for the 2003 world series.

I decided to sit on the floor at the start of the 8th inning of Game 2. My wife has regulated me to the floor and that is where I watched all last night. My back is killing me, but with that performance, I will be sitting on the floor for the remainder of the postseason. I am doing my part!

What an incredible game and performance from Schlittler.
