Concept Art #21: Time Tenshi 2 cut content

Hi Silver Cow Patrons,

It's time for a brand new Concept Art posting! And today, we'll be revealing - for the very first time and for you, our awesome Patrons only - some concepts and content that didn't make it into the final cut of Time Tenshi 2!

So firstly, you probably didn't know this, but one of the ideas on the table at one point was for both Mizuki and Bunni to transform into fox and cat-like beast forms! This idea never actually reached the artwork stage, but we've included here a couple of draft story excerpts for you to check out:

- Draft excerpt 1: Mizuki's transformation -

"But even more shocking to the time traveling duo was the fact that Mizuki had somehow shed many of the trappings of humanity.

Mizuki's clothes were gone in their entirety, with only her Quantum Guard remaining. Her forearms and lower legs were completely covered in fur, and she had razor-sharp claws marking her fingers and toes.

As Mizuki grinned, deadly fangs showing in her mouth, dog-like ears emerged from the top of her head, and a long, bushy tail danced about, a tail like that of a fox. And she glared at them with piercing red eyes."

Woah! So Mizuki would have transformed into some kind of fox ninja girl! That actually makes a lot of sense, since the fox or kitsune is so deeply associated with Japanese culture and mythology...

And here's what would have happened to Bunni!

- Draft excerpt 2: Bunni's transformation -

"Bunni rapidly grew taller, so much so that her head was soon scraping the ceiling.

However, as I continued to watch, Bunni's changes took on a more frightening cast. Her canines lengthened and sharpened into fangs, just as her nails transformed into claws. Her hair lengthened and become more feral, and fur the color of her hair emerged to cover her forearms, lower legs, and some of her breasts and her womanhood.

Cat-like ears emerged from the top of her head, and her pupils narrowed into deadly slits... And with her bosom heaving with each breath she took, she grinned a wicked, feral grin."

Wow! Looks like Bunni would have turned into a cat girl with the power of the Quantum Guard!

There are plenty more interesting excerpts we could show you, but to save on space a little we'll summarise them - Neferu-re herself would have also transformed into a serpent-like creature when the Time Window's forces grow her to a gigantic size, and Tessa meanwhile would have received what Michelle called a "Hyper-Evolution Mode", granting her paws, cat ears and a cat tail! Whew!

Ultimately, after a lot of thought, we decided we didn't want the girls to go the "beast" route. Instead, we came up with the idea of the girls receiving special enhancements and abilities like you saw in the game - for example, Mizuki's super ninja transformation.
We really wanted to keep things consistent with the first Time Tenshi and the effects of time travel shown in that game, so the "beast mode" idea was dropped. But what do you guys think of those animal-like transformations?

And finally... we've attached a little piece of art that wasn't used in the completed version of Time Tenshi 2 - it's another look at the mountainous muscle princess, Neferu-re!

Her pose here was based on something like you'd expect to see from The Hulk - it's a little unpolished because it didn't get beyond the concept stage, but it gives a pretty interesting look at just how big Neferu-re became while she was using the Quantum Guard's Muscle Mode... it looks like not even a tank could stop her! If you tried to tackle her in the Special Edition of Time Tenshi 2, you must be really brave, plain crazy... or just curious ;)
