Silver Cow Patron Update #9

Hi Silver Cow Patrons,

It's time for your next Silver Cow Patron Update!

Firstly, we're sure you're keen to learn how things are progressing with Time Tenshi 2! Well, we're hard at work on the game and everything is moving along nicely. Most of the game's illustrations for the script so far have been completed (and the backgrounds too), and our writer is now on the home stretch so he'll be wrapping up the story very very soon!

Because we've had some requests to include some choices in Time Tenshi 2, we'll be exploring extra options at certain stages of the game with our writer, including some romance decisions which should spice things up even more!

In the latest CG sketch we've received, Rose is getting some nice massage treatment... which leads to a very ecchi scene involving some serious booty! (Look forward to that one!) Of course the reason for her massage is a mystery...

We've also received the final logo from our interface artist and we're really pleased with how it looks. We can't show it to you just yet but we're excited for you to see it very soon!

So, we're aiming for Time Tenshi 2 to go live as soon as we possibly can. As soon as the story's finished we'll be going for the Steam Greenlight, and there shouldn't be any delays between it being Greenlit and going up on Steam!

Then our next visual novel, set aboard a battleship, is also going really well and our script writer is enjoying the story so far! (Yes, we're working on more than one for you!)

Some really unexpected and crazy happenings take place in the visual novel, such as... oops, we can't tell you what they are just yet, but you can be sure they're equal parts exciting and ecchi! (Do you like really "big" mermaids?)

Then, our super-secret project has made some big progress lately. We've received one of the game's major backgrounds from our artist, and they're starting work on getting it animated as we type this!

Also, we've had a chance to check out some of the game's graphical interface artwork, which looks really good and has some nice animations too. Like we said in a previous update, this game is not a visual novel but it will be a tense blend of ecchi action which will have you on the edge of your seat we hope! (We've said too much!)

Lastly, we're always trying to think of new ideas to add to our drawing board here at Silver Cow, and we have plenty of secret project plans that aren't being actively worked on just yet - but as soon as there's any news, you'll be the first to hear it here on Patreon.

Out of interest, feel free to tell us what sort of games you like best - visual novels, 2D games or 3D games?

Thanks for reading this Silver Cow Patron Update, and for your excellent support as always. Come back soon for more exciting news!

Thanks for your comments guys! We're always discussing ideas and have talked about both 2D and 3D concepts. When we have some news you'll be the first to see it here on Patreon! - Silver Cow Studio

It's good to hear that Time Tenshi 2 development is progressing at good rate, but question of which 2D or 3D is better in games in general is difficult. I feel that visual novels are better in 2D than in 3D just because it requires much more effort to make 3D models feel alive than 2D. It's most likely because a 2D sprite standing a long time in one position doesn't feel so stiff as if a 3D model stands in same position for long time. Though there have been couple of really good 3D model using visual novel as of late. So I'm also interested in seeing what kind of 3D models and style you were planing on using in your future games. Before I make judgement of which one is best I would like to see some kind of examples of models and styles using, but seeing your work of late I'm pretty sure that whatever route you decide to go it's going to be enjoyable experience for your fans, so keep up the good work.

To be honest, I'm still pretty new to visual novels in general. At first, I'd thought that Time Tenshi was a puzzle game of some sort, so I was a little confused when no real interactive portion ever showed up lol That being said, I've come to find them very entertaining. Especially given the right balance of plot and 'plot'. What games aren't in 3D these days? Its feeling more and more like 2D games are becoming something of a novelty and any in that format are regarded with more of a retro feel. Something 90's children like myself can appreciate. But honestly, I like exploring visual novels. And the integration of various paths in the plot sounds like a great idea and makes for an easy avenue for replayability. I look forward to Time Tenshi 2, and I hope the rest of your projects progress just as smoothly. Cheers!
