Weekend log

This weekend i had to bring this Bio-Suit into the game (technically!) and further the story. Plus debugging.

On Saturday, I did something painful. Many of you wanted to see the bio suit (see last weekend's post) in the game, and as a preparation i weight painted it [Insert painful screams here] and then I created the morphs for it [Insert another painful scream here]. It was difficult due to the unusual shape of it, but I got it into the game. It is currently only a technical implementation, since i have to figure out how to get this suit into the story.. Somehow >_>
And.. i also created a simpler variant of it, but it is not in the game yet. It is still just a normal mesh for now (with textures).

On Sunday, i added more VN frames to the story. I created some new animations last weekend and i used them as i intended. (in Milus spa building). While doing this , i also found a bug which i promptly kicked out of the code base. And once that was done, i tested it ^_^

So.. next weekend... more work , the main story must continue, and MAYBE i will also get the next Bio suit variant in the game.. if I can stand the pain of weight painting and creating morphs for it...

I am confused, currently there is no "mine" in BID. Do you mean the pirate base in my older game milky ways ?

Hey, I have another question: is the mine still in the game to take out the robot?

The ideas is floating around since the beginning , but usually my work time is the limiting factor here. Since i can only work on weekends on this game , i do not have that much time for new content so... yes... the ideas are floating around but... time >_> Even the traps , i considered of doing (remember the one box in the new warehouse) but.. yeahh you guessed it, many ideas and not enough time to implement them. And.. ahm.. Who is Dan ?

Hey, I have a question: are there any ideas yet about what will be on the test center?And will there eventually be something like a prison if someone is restrained by the AI too often?Where Dan has to work his way out again Are there any considerations for traps hidden in the world that might bind a Dan in some way?

Hello Merlin, the hard part is not to make the model. The model (mesh) itself was made with AI. (after some back and forth with different tries) The hard part is to weight paint and to make morphs for it , due to the unusual shape and polygon geometry. It looks neat , also in game now (especially with some simple wiggling morphs for the tentacles). It was not a bad decision after all , now i just need to find a manner to actually build it into the story... some... how...

As much as I had to laugh about the [insert painful scream] parts, I should have anticipated how hard that suit would be to make. I will now apologize for my part in suggesting it was a good idea 😢. I know I was not the only one who asked for it. But, unlike some players, I already know how much work it is making these "models". And I did not think ahead.
