"The Dust" Abe's Take 1

Story time!

When I went to bed it was nearly midnight. Last I saw Abe was contentedly working on putting in multiple instrument tracks for Dust. I think he was optimistic at that point. I passed out hard, the strings noise doesn't seem to bother Izzy and I. When we woke up at our usual 4am, Abe was still there standing in the same place in front of the mic. He seemed less optimistic at this point. I said hey are you still up? He turned around while tossing the headphones onto the counter. "It's Terrible!" he said. "I don't even know what I was thinking, I hate everything I've done!" While laughing and covering his face, we get pushed on with the rest of our day feeding, cleaning up messes, goofing in our winter garden (It's dead, there's nothing growing there, just sticks and dirt) and watching phonics videos on youtube (Iz's new favorite). I forgot all about this audio until I listened to it this morning. My first thoughts were, "This is wonderful!" Abe took rough tracks of my vocal and worked his entire instrumentation around that and added some really fun instruments including a mando. This is not an easy task! My rough tracks of vocal basically mean I don't give a fu#$! I'm doing whatever, singing whatever because my part at that point is just a place holder for when I come back and do it for realsies.....any who... I just listened to this 3 times and I had to share it with you all! Abe is so cool! He really gets me :)
