A cold metal gray paints the walls of our vessel;

A warm coat of red paints the gate of a shrine.

No matter how far our technology marches,

We still fear the gods at the end of the line.

A pure void of black paints the dead space around us;

A sprawling of green paints the life as it thrives.

A border of nothing and something colliding,

A sight to remember the rest of our lives.

With air long recycled, the creatures are breathing;

They’ve met their confines with a thrilling expanse.

This energy builds up with nowhere to go,

And we find after all that we can’t help but dance.

Transients facing the realm of eternity:

Far less impossible odds than it seems.

Meek insects and flowers refuse to be silenced;

How ever could death touch a human with dreams?

Our bodies as light as the doubts on our spirits,

An impact as great as an asteroid’s fall:

With crisscrossing feelings now pushing us forward

The weight on our shoulders is nothing at all.

So filled two by two is this on-marching jungle,

As one on its own can bring no more to be.

There might be no welcome for one on this flight,

But our two minds together have granted the key.

A bright rain of bullets could drip from my fingertips;

Now all that’s left is to follow the light.

Let’s firmly believe in our mystical powers,

But keep up the prayer that there’s no one to fight.

Danger is merely a twist in the story;

We can’t leave to wake till we’ve told it all right.
