Vanishing Dream ~ Lost Dream

How long has it been now, or will it be?
When you walk this way, when you look around you,
Tell me, what do you think? What do you see?
When I make a sound, when I move a muscle,
Oh, why do I do it? For you, for me?
With no will to go, with no reason to stay,
I can clearly see that I’m incomplete.
Before I knew, I had become scenery paint of a forgotten place.
No one in life, no one in death, no one at all to remember my face.
I must have known, right from the start, I never could be any more than this.
Two ghostly hands reaching in vain, my fleeting touch is just too meaningless.
If only my dream were truly behind me,
Then I might find something new to attach to my vanishing heart.
But there’s no hope for such fortune to find me.
Who else would want me? And more, who else would I want? Falling apart…
As my past is winding down, my future too is already gone.
Because, you see, I’m someone who doesn’t know how to move on.
And still I wait for things to change, hold tightly to the dying dream again,
Desperate to keep it from fading away.
If I could make one wish, I wonder what the wish would be for?
It’s hard for me to say that I’d ever want anything more.
And so I’m neither here nor there. My presence is a breath of air to you.
If there’s no choice but to fade… Let me fade away.
