About two months ago I released a Krazy Ken's Mobile Log episode about a rare prototype iMac that I won at an auction. Although there were many intriguing physical differences about this prototype (including design features Apple never released publicly) the iMac did not POST. It would power on, but not go further.
Thanks to some suggestions from the community, I got it working! However, there was nothing special on the hard drive regarding Apple internal documents or applications, at least on the surface level. When I attempted data recovery, I found some cool stuff! 😈 Stay tuned for the full episode soon…

Lots of similarities and similar time frame! But there's still some cool things I found on this system that I didn't see on the other iMac. FWIW, that other system was not in the PVT stage. It's been a few years, but I believe it was a production unit that failed testing.
