EARLY ACCESS: QuickTake

Hello Insiders! This episode was a huuuuge labor of love. A lot of work went into it and I'm grateful for everyone who helped make it possible.

There's a fun story behind this QuickTake camera line, and I'm excited to share it! I'm also excited to show you how well a 0.3-megapixel camera (with an 8-photo memory) holds up today, haha.

This was awesome, Ken! I in no way had the money for these cameras in the 1990s, but I do remember my first digital camera could hold about 10 photos onboard before deletion became mandatory to free up space, and that was years later. I am actually surprised and impressed how good the photos looked. Of course they’re not good by today’s standards, but for capturing images in time the ones with decent outdoor lighting (especially the skyline photos) still look decent. I can’t believe how far digital photography has come. I have a very expensive DLSR from about 10 years ago that I used to pack on trips and it takes beautiful photos, but now when I travel I just take my iPhone honestly. What I give up in controls and flexibility is more than made up for in convenience. Thanks for this retrospective, and bonus points for shoehorning the Crow T. Robot photos in!
