I was writing in the studio, and while deep in thought I figured this would be a good self-portrait. All I did was set up a camera and take a picture with a timer. No do-overs, and I didn't change any lighting or props. How it looks is how it was—real.
Normally I wouldn't get an angle like this. I usually write in my office at my iMac desk which faces a wall—no room for a camera to get a reverse shot. I happened to be in the studio today (because my office chair broke) so I took advantage of the camera angle.
