Questionnaire (IDH): Favorite parts thus far
Added 2025-12-21 23:00:41 +0000 UTCWhy the questionnaire?
The best way for me to write 'what you like' is for me to know which parts you liked! (Helps me know which aspects and themes to focus on.)
I wish I could make this a poll, but I wouldn't even know what to put on the poll, so I'll just ask:
When you think of the story for Innocent Devil's Harem, what parts 'stand out' as being your favorite? (And why? - if you know)
Hopefully, I will get a lot of answers, so that I can later make it into a poll.
For example, did you like the beginning most? (saving Gabriella)
Are there any parts you've re-read multiple times? (For example, I personally have re-read 'meeting Natalie' numerous times myself, as well as everything leading up to her finally trusting him.)
Did you like meeting Gwen and Miriam?
Did you like the werewolf attack, or when Dante attacked, or any other 'action' scene?
Did you like any of the days at school, or when the MC went to the funeral and confronted members of his family, etc.?
Just list them all out! Anything you liked, and has stuck with you!
And if someone else mentions something, and you think "Oh yeah, I liked that part too!" then just leave a comment under their comment.

What got me hooked is the genre, and Kai and the fact that the adult scenes are graphic. All the action scenes have been thrilling and have kept me on the edge of my seat. All the characters are great, weather I like them or not isn't an issue. You should stop worrying what your readers think of the characters or what direction they want the story to take. The variety of characters is what makes the story rich, weather I like them or not doesn't take away from that fact. As the author your creativity and imagination is great, the plot is why I keep reading. If I just wanted to read smut, I would read the tons of it that are free on Literotica. Using your readers comments for ideas and a means for crit is a healthy thing for a writer to do. Other than my last crit the only other thing I find a little frustrating is your unwillingness to move forward in time. The amount of writing done keeping to the minutes of his every day pulls some monotony into the experience. It wasn't the experience up until after the werewolf attack and he killed Dante. Then every thing slowed down and I began to feel rather frustrated from that point on, plot and the sex scenes seem to drag on and I go from a willing binge reader to a casual reader not obsessed with finding out what happens next. Like there has ben a lull in your momentum, or you are taking to much of what every reader wants and that's the cause of the negative affect to your writing momentum and my reading experience. But then those are simply how I feel and not necessarily valid. I am still a fan. Thanks for your work.

2025-12-24 22:39:50 +0000 UTCWith regards to IDH, I've loved the development of Kai's Harem. I'm intrigued about possible changes with people that Kai may share his blood with Petra being one Serenity's friend in the department sorry I've always been bad with names and as she has been absent in the last couple of chapters. But as janet/Janice (again I forget what the name is) is suffering with an end stage terminal disease and she is a friend of Serenity I see Kai sharing his blood with her. It definitely seems kai will need to destroy his father at some point Rescuing Liz will be a must, but whether he can reunted her soul to her body remains to be see

2025-12-24 16:10:22 +0000 UTCFor me, it has to be the 'Natalie arc', specifically the alpha bonding scenes. When Kai completes her 'subjugation' and experiences her "death", the emotional impact of that moment, coupled with Kais reaction, is some of the most emotive writing ive ever read. Also, Natalie finally understanding how much Kai cares for her, to the point that even the idea or feeling that he had "killed" the essence of who she is (leaving her an empty "shell" or "puppet"), coupled with her witnessing how much it really did emotionally destroy/devastate Kai and profoundly impact him in such an intense way, helped make the whole scene a truly incredible read. After all of the pain, heartache and betrayal that she had suffered at the hands of her previous alpha, for Natalie to then be able to completely open her heart and soul to Kai and trust that he wouldnt abuse that bond, really cemented Natalie as one of the best characters in this story.

2025-12-24 02:09:49 +0000 UTCFor me, off the top of my head so might add more later: Meeting Natalie initially The ongoing Natalie arc The funeral Winning Elizabeth and Delilah and the confrontation with Absalom Saving Gabriella, then Serenity and the whole arc of that, including Nick's involvement Saving Avery and Michelle Rosa and Dante arc Gwen's backstory Claire's painting, her issues with Avery Issues with Trey Meeting Roland and subsequent Roland arc Initial Petra scenes (specifically her, rather than the rest of trinity scenario, so far, at least) Anyone's transformation scenes have also normally been very interesting. I think those are the main ones for me.

Other parts that stand out to me (in no particular order): - Saving Gabriella in the woods. Not so much the action, but the interaction immediately after that. - The whole Natalie arc. Everything about that was great and it sticks with me. - Saving Avery and her mom. - The showdown with Jonadab. - The showdown with Absalom. - Remembering his history with Gwen. - His first meeting with Mr. Beaumont and the situation that caused it. - Saving Rosa. - Facing down Absolom's army.

2025-12-22 01:13:31 +0000 UTCThe parts where either Kai has to flex his abilities and people are either shitting themselves or awestruck, or when someone is talking about his past “Wrath” form like he’s the boogie man that’s not to be messed with.

2025-12-22 01:06:41 +0000 UTCOne of the things I've been working on is always including at least one of the 'main girls' in the story when the focus is on something else. And I feel like I've generally done that pretty consistently (for instance, Avery, Natalie, Michelle, and Nicole were all present during Claire's arc of the story, or how I've included Serenity and Gabriella recently for this part revolving around Amber, etc.) That being said, it would be helpful if you could list out a few specific scenes that stick out in your mind. What are your top 3 scenes that you can easily recall and really enjoyed?

2025-12-22 00:50:50 +0000 UTCThe generalizations do help, but I'm looking for specifics too. Can you list out some specific scenes that really stick out to you? Just like your top 3 parts of the story that you liked most.

2025-12-22 00:47:22 +0000 UTCMy most read chapters are probably from the mall date up to the werewolf attack. My most favourite scene is still the confrontation between Kai and his father, mostly because it was easy to imagine and the spells wording was cool. When it comes to more recent scenes, the latest underground parking scene was awesome. I am way more interested in the plot and world building than the steamy scenes, as others have said, came for porn, bought the books and drop in here for the plot. Some sex scenes like Gwens breakfast were incredibly hot though in this somewhat innocent and devious way. I prefer general scene description and feelings over noise description. I tend to skip written out repetitive moaning and noises. Generally I prefer scenes with less characters involved, be it in plot or steam. The last girl introduced who managed to pull some amount of care out of me was Claire, because her ability and how you spun the story around it was fascinating. We still haven't seen her whole painting. The rest like Reagan, the girl Claire lives with, his teacher and the secretary don't really managed to induce the same mystery. Cool side characters, but I probably wouldn't be bothered if some fade out over time. What I am most curious about besides Eve is the bigger political picture of immortals. I wonder about The Legion, are there other global organisations? Kais past self has huge infamity and titles, but how far do those reach? And of course his father's counter attack and Serenities hilarious mic drop really want me to see her demolish Absalom when it is his turn to die.

2025-12-22 00:41:26 +0000 UTCTo be honest I don’t know. I feel like the story has been on autopilot for some time. The plot hasn’t really progressed a whole lot. I really don’t like the last few chapters at all. What I did like in the beginning was how Kai was this zero dude and grew into his power. And how he built the harem. And more importantly how his memories came back and how his curse worked and how you wove that into Delilah and Miriam’s background. That was awesome. I am not complaining and don’t feel anything negative, it feels like it has grown too big now and things are blending into a mush of more and harem girls and not enough quality time like it’s too stretched Sorry for the rant

2025-12-21 23:59:19 +0000 UTCI definitely enjoyed the earlier parts of the story more. When things were still unfolding in every chapter and Kai was trying to figure out who or what he was. The innocence of the situation is now in the past, and the story has matured into more warrior/adult/battle themes, sort of an innocence lost story. I think the introduction of so many new characters is a little overwhelming. There should be situations where Kai and his crew help out the underdogs without expectations at the end that they are going to add to the harem. They will need friends that are not in their group. His brother is a source of some of this with the capacity to team up on things. The core/original team need to be more involved in working out challenges together. Lately it seems that there are numerous gratuitous sex stories as filler between major plots and the story feels thin at those times. I was glad to see Serenity brought back to the forefront in chapter 213 and Kai forced to see here again almost as he did during the times of his innocence.
