Well, that was hopefully an intense and interesting chapter.
1. What do you think of the 'enemy'?
2. What do you think about Kai's participation in the hunt? (And the ability he used.)
3. What do you think about Miriam's indirect involvement in the situation? (Like not telling Kai much about the maid. Or accidentally giving things away.)
4. What do you think of the revelations about the Werewolf Queen? (Was the ending emotional at all for you? If you didn't cry, or at least get a little tear in your eye, then I didn't do a good enough job. Although, this scene might be a little less impactful if you haven't read Ariana's story yet - Innocent Wolfgirl's Pet Witch < has probably the 'best fight scene' I've ever written - really, it's a massacre at Ariana's hands - sometimes if I'm bored, I will literally re-read the couple of chapters that have that scene.)

I feel like getting treated like a dementia patient. After about 5 chapters and a repetition every single paragraph I KNOW WHAT THEY WEAR. I came back to this story after about 2 years and as much as I still enjoy some sex scenes and the overall plot is amazing, I feel the writing of these scenes and around them got qualitatively worse. Having whole lines just being actually written out moans and describing their appearance MULTIPLE TIMES every single chapter like we have sudden onset dementia does make the chapters longer, but just leads to the reader skipping whole paragraphs to get back to the actual story. I mean, there is even artwork of them. Maybe it is a me-thing, but I am mostly here for the plot and not adding women every second chapter, reading whole paragraphs of only "Yes, uh, oh my god" and appearance descriptions. The proper plot and the action are still top notch. I will probably come back again in a year or so, just because the worldbuilding is actually interesting and I would like to see some characters like Roland more fleshed out.

Usually, I will have several ideas on 'which way' the story 'could go' and then I see what your guys' reaction is to help me decide on which direction to take. Sometimes there are suggestions in the comments of things I hadn't thought of, which ultimately influence the direction of the story as well, and other times the story 'gets a mind of its own' and starts going in a direction that even I wasn't planning (that's what happened with the initial confrontation with his father - it went in a completely different direction than I was initially planning, which has changed how the whole story could have turned out for the last 100+ chapters). Glad you liked the description of his power! I honestly wasn't sure 'how' I wanted that power to work until I literally wrote it! It was specifically me imagining how it would look when Rosa and Avery are chasing down the enemy. That's what resulted in me imagining that particular 'shadow world' description. Ironically, I actually have a character with a similar power from Omega Squad (Omega Metahumans), so it's kind of funny the idea hadn't occurred to me until just recently, especially since Ava from that story (aka, Shadow) was a character I created roughly 7 years ago. I get the logic for keeping her away from Kai, whilst at the same time its not as if Miriams been introducing Kai to every maid in the mansion, or that Kai has even really felt the desire/need to meet all of them either. 2) One theory i have for why Amber was able to bypass Miriam and Gwens defences relates to Raegan. Its been implied/teased that Raegans ability to create fantasies (almost like reality-warping/illusion magic) was ultimately a big part of (perhaps even the only reason) why Rebecca was so willing to become her 'submissive sex-pet wife', despite the fact that this seemingly almost goes against the very identity/core of Rebeccas character, with her having been introduced as/portrayed as a sexy, mature and supremely confident 'dominatrix'; additionally, Raegans abilities were even able to affect someone as powerful and protected as Miriam, resulting in her effectively "giving away" her daughter Rebeccas hand in marriage, all without consulting her about the idea, or even realising she was being affected by Raegans powers in the first place. All of this, in my opinion, could be barely scratching the surface of what a Kitsune can ultimately achieve with their powers, whilst also hinting that a 'full blooded Kitsunes' abilities could be even stronger, with Ambers additional experience in using said powers making her even more of a threat. Perhaps she created the 'illusion/fantasy' that she is simply an innocent part-succubus who needed a job, with her powers potentially having the capacity to overcome/bypass the barriers that protect Miriams mansion, as well as being able to affect Gwens mind reading and even possibly Miriams scrying. However, this is just a theory and im sure there are plenty of other routes the story could take; for example, it could simply be that Amber hasnt harboured any ill intent towards Miriam for as long as theyve known each other, with recent events and the potential involvement of Ambers daughters being the catalyst for her more malicious actions towards Kai and those he loves. 3) Love the way the power Kai used was described. It feels way more badass than him simply running super fast, as it seems as though he'll be able to phase through solid objects, allowing him to proceed to his target/destination directly, without needing to worry about any obstacles in his path i.e. buildings or trees. 4) Finally, i thought the confrontation with Ariana was emotional and well executed. I do think that maybe if Kai had experienced a flashback of the situation involving Ariana and her family, then the confrontation scene could have been even more emotionally impactful, in the same way Kai experienced his memory of Miriam and their shared suffering, as well as his past with Gwen and her nearly dying; however, it could be that those particular scenes are within your other story, which i havent read yet. In the end, i thought the chapter overall and the revelations that it contained were fantastic and i cant wait to read more.

Maybe the maid was upset because she was forced to sleep with people and didn't want too. Or maybe she was in love with Miriam and Kai came along and ruined it. But her being able to get passed the safe guards of the mansion is alarming.
