FEEDBACK: Thoughts?
1. Thoughts on new information learned about MC/Brooke?
2. Thoughts on new information about MC/Miriam?
3. Thoughts on the Crystal Room? Etc.?
NOTE: Miriam first mentions the name 'Methuselah' in Chapter 66. The pair of incubi mention 'Zephon' in Chapter 179.

His father isnt interested in either of those, his father wants his blood so he can assimilate his power, remember that's what he was using Delilah as a hostage for.

2025-07-09 15:26:06 +0000 UTCWhile this is his home of old, we didn't find his lab / spell library / magical item horde. I am assuming one of the closed portals doors in the chamber opens to this area. Considering his magical abilities, and how he can link both living and inanimate power sources to himself, even effective over large distances as pools for when he needs the boost. This infers him as both magician and sorcerer. Wow! For those of you not in the know: Magician and sorcerer disciplines, while both magic welding, but each utilising magic resources in a very different way. And magic users are always one or the other, naturally. It is almost unheard of where one can be both. Making Kai even more powerful than the readers now realise. Magicians harvest mana from within themselves, making their spells through perception and thought, not needing to vocalise the spells to cast them. They are also naturally aligned to one element as a major and a second element as a tertiary magic influence. Both elements, by the laws of magic, not being opposing elements. For instance, water and earth, whereas alignment could never be water and fire as an example. The limitations of magicians are the natural and limited amount of mana they can produce physically. Making their power and strength of spells also limited, the upside however is magicians can weave very intricate and complex spells that can layer, building constructs that are impossible to achieve as a sorcerer. Sorcerers have to vocally express their spells and draw the more advanced ones, they can't pull mana and generate mana from themselves. So they pull it from things around them, like plants and other living things. What this discipline thrives on is the storage of mana in magically enabled items, staff, gems, noble metals, and element aligned ritual items. As an example, a skull for death magic or ritual sacrificial dagger. The storage of mana allows them to create stores so vast to be used, that sorcerers are hands down the most powerful of spell casters. (Sorcerers that pull mana from something until it is depleted, killing said thing is a black sorcerer and those that only take enough for use and not harming the source are known as white sorcerers, gray being acolytes still in training and not having chosen the dark side or not) Where they can cast a large flame based spell that produces the heat of the sun over a large area, which a magician cant do due to the lack of mana amount needed. Unlocking an intricate and layered spell that a magician puts on a hidden safe with protected and valuable items or knowledge in it for example is beyond a sorcerer to dis-spell. And layering their spell work takes days and is usually easy for a magician to dis-spell, and the layering is generally also seen as clumsy. Magicians being born into magic and sorcerers learning magic. Sorcerers can also cast spells to any element alignment. Magicians only those two elements they are born to. Being both is truly insane, because essentially everything learned can then become natural and also through mana storage allow the magician to cast spells undreamt of. On top of that, Kai took genetics from all the various supernatural races in making his new body with all their different natural magic alignments, essentially giving himself a natural magical alignment to possibly all the elements, even opposing ones. This doesn't happen through natural breed selection. Because he is unnatural and wasn't bread and birthed naturally but compiled magically and then incubated and birthed through a living host, namely Eve. The scope of power is mind-boggling. And he has not even scratched the surface of his magical ability. Which does actually make him god like. If there is a comparison.

2025-07-09 12:21:40 +0000 UTCIf the realization that Kai's old self was there for Miriam is crushing, how is it for Delilah. It seems she was just left completely out in the cold.

2025-07-08 22:20:09 +0000 UTCI think we will end up finding out that all of the women were meant to be in Kai’s life. His old self had done much work to put these women in his path. Just wondering when and how he’s memories will start to flood back. Plus we can’t forget about his dad still being alive. And probably trying to figure out how to kill Kai. Or take his women.

2025-07-08 19:20:25 +0000 UTCWhich name? Miriam's full name? She first used it way back when the Werewolf attack happened. I believe it is Ch 66 of Book 5. Edit: I will link it to the bottom of this post.

2025-07-07 16:27:25 +0000 UTCMaybe 'all but crushed her?' or something like that. As far as her knowing that Kai set up her domain, I don't think that happened, but I suppose I may be wrong. Since I already 'know everything' (in terms of the lore/canon) sometimes I forget what has already been disclosed and what hasn't. Miriam did most of the work, she only had a little bit of help, and I don't 'think' she ever attributed that help to Kai. Again, could be wrong though. Kind of the whole point of Kai's old curse is that it truly is/was powerful enough to taint memories and such. It's not so much that the old Kai was 'invisible' but rather that his curse made him basically imperceptible to other people's minds. At the end of this chapter, the whole point is that Miriam does know Kai was involved in her past life, and yes it is a logical conclusion and extrapolation of thought that maybe Kai actually helped her build her domain, but in this chapter it is disclosed that despite knowing that information, Miriam had still been unable to fully connect the event of 'someone gave me the incantation' to 'Kai was in my life back then helping.' The idea is that the curse was so powerful that even after all the other revelations, she is only now able to make that 'logical jump' that it was Kai the whole time, including that really important part (the spell and Domain Crystal part).

2025-07-07 14:34:23 +0000 UTCAwesome chapter. Miriams reaction for me makes perfect sense, with her realising that through her entire life, in her darkest moments, when she felt nothing but despair and as though she'd been abandoned, Kai was with her. It must be incredibly tough for her to process; as on the one hand she'll feel incredible gratitude and affection towards him, whilst on the other, her knowing that he potentially saw her receiving alot of pleasure from the men and women she slept with, alongside any general happiness she felt during that time, must be devastating; all that time, Kai was watching over her but she was unable to even perceive his existence/remember him. Im guessing she'll currently be feeling a tremendous amount of guilt and i honestly think this revelation, alongside the devastation shes currently experiencing, might not be something she'll get over anytime soon, even though everything worked out in the end. As far as Brooke, I genuinely feel like Kai as 'Shadow' may have created/shaped her entire personality, with her acting like a "princess" and being "haughty" simply because he didnt care about anything and therefore did whatever she wanted; in the same way, him being detached/absent emotionally meant if she wanted any form of intimacy/physical pleasure, she had to take up a more dominant role in their relationship. However, now that Kai can express his emotions, it seems like she may be at her happiest when hes the one who takes control/dominates; but not just with sex or him acting 'aggressively' toward her, something as simple as choosing to hold her hand, with him initiating the contact, seemed to have a profound effect on her. Im interested to see how her character/personality evolves the more she spends time with Kai as he is now; my guess is that whilst she'll still at times be haughty, arrogant and occasionally dominant, she'll more fully cede control in her relationship to Kai, thus truly cementing her place as his "submissive pet" and him as her "master".

2025-07-07 07:14:44 +0000 UTC“Destroyed her” seems like a lot. She already knows Kai was there in the past and saved her when things got really awful. She knows he set up the domain too. Maybe I misunderstood the previous revelations Miriam had about Kai?
