FEEDBACK: Thoughts?
VERY IMPORTANT: I’ve introduced in this chapter the concept of ‘power sharing’ which has been heavily hinted at for a long time, but not directly disclosed until now. Hopefully it doesn't seem 'too surprising' to anyone.
1. Thoughts on Claire, Gabriella, and Michelle getting together? (I’d really appreciate the feedback, since this 'grouping' is actually ‘technically’ compatible for bonding, and just needs Kai’s involvement to make it happen. Claire has more than one affinity though (mainly light/fire), so there are others she could bond with. Of course, Avery is bonded with Natalie and Rosa, due to a blood affinity. And since Natalie also has a fire affinity, she was able to form a separate bond with Serenity and Liz. So yeah, let me know what you think about Claire/Gabriella/Michelle grouping.)
2. Thoughts on Petra and/or Jessica? (Kind of some major developments there, especially with Petra.)
3. Thoughts on the Dryad? (Or the general situation of the ‘hidden dwelling’ beneath their house?) NOTE: We aren’t waiting 4 hours (in-story) for the Dryad to rouse! She will be awake next chapter!

With regards to question 1 not being sure how the affinitys would benefi the the trio, I'll leave it to you to develop Now as to Pera and Jessica here is my feeling. Being both Petra and Jessica just witnessed Kai's blood saving the dryad or bringing her back from near death my take is Jessica after her talk with Serenity will either ask Kai for his blood to cure her foresaking what that my imply afterwards or will accep quickly once his blood is offered which I see will happen. Petra I believe will also accept his blood if offered to prevent compulsion.

2025-06-11 05:44:43 +0000 UTCNot sure if this is where you are going, but it feels like the Dryad has been there under the house for ages, as in hundreds if not thousands of years. And if that were the case. Then the house was intended for Him and Ren all along. Also, I suspect due to there being a dimensional portal or entrance to his actual lair of old. Where he would find his horde of spell ware, spell tombs, etc. Without a doubt, a creature like he was before would definitely have had a secret lair, and by definition only the oldest and most trusted friend/lover the Dryad would know of its location and be the one to guard it until his return. Since its not written yet, I might be wrong. But it does feel right.

2025-06-11 05:27:39 +0000 UTCI think the nice thing about the bonding is that it gives everyone a 'home' - a grouping, or sort of 'clique,' among Kai's women for them to belong to. And while the whole point of Gabriella and Michelle bonding was to do exactly that - establish a connection that might not have grown much without a bond (as you suggested) - the point of having Claire potentially join them is that she can feel like she belongs in a significant way in Kai's life. That being said, if Claire 'was' to bond with someone else (in order to establish a connection that might not normally have formed), I'm curious as to who you might have in mind. Because honestly, I think the 'most obvious' bond would actually be a bond with Avery (and by extension, Natalie/Rosa), making the Gabriella/Michelle grouping already a deviation from the most obvious. But if Claire bonded with someone 'not' Avery/Nat/Rosa, or Gabriella/Michelle, then who else would you want to see her develop a relationship with? Probably the most amusing would be Gwen, given her initial dislike. Claire and Gwen might be an amazing thing just waiting to happen. Maybe Claire and Serenity too. But aside from that, I'm not sure who else would be an option that both 'makes sense' and also would be 'interesting' to see develop.

2025-06-09 15:49:19 +0000 UTCAs far as the Claire,Michelle and Gabriella grouping, i think it makes alot of sense that these three would be drawn to each other given their respective relationships with Avery, so having them form a bond is perhaps the most logical choice; however, i believe the bonding process can be used as a way to connect characters that wouldnt ordinarily be that close with each other. I think the three women mentioned will naturally gravitate towards each other anyway, so this could be an opportunity for Claire to form a more intimate bond with some of Kais other women, perhaps those she hasnt interacted with much/doesnt have that natural connection to, which in turn could create some unique/surprising relationships and interactions within the story. Either way im excited to see what direction the story goes.

2025-06-09 04:30:50 +0000 UTCI’m gonna guess that the Dryad was protecting his lab/base of operations from where he conducted his experiments or something of similar importance. Also I think both Jessica and Nick should be given Kai’s blood if for no other reason than to increase his allies, and have them in the know for hunting down the one trying to frame him and move into Roland’s gang’s territory. Also what happened to Vivian the secretary woman that was under the ring of compulsion and who knew about the tainted steaks
