I'm glad we've finally gotten to the point where we going to explore Ariana's part of the story. It's interesting that she only has two wives currently. In the distant past she had two, was appearing poised to add a couple of concubines as well as Liz. Even if something happened to some of them, people inclined to polyamory tend to continue with it. I'm looking forward to seeing these plotholes fleshed out. Of course, the biggest bombshell of the conversation was confirmation of the fact I've suspected for a couple of years, that Kai as Unrecognizable was experimenting for millennia and was inadvertently responsible for creating the werewolves, and probably vampires, as well as other cursed beings like the abomination whose blood was lethal to other supernatural races.
