FEEDBACK: Thoughts?
1. A couple of big reveals in this chapter (related to Absalom and Abel). What did you think?
2. How much do you like Kelsey?
ALSO: As I mentioned at the top, I will hopefully have an upcoming surprise for the Combat Healer story in the next few weeks (unrelated to what happened in this chapter).

But even if for 10k years he's immortal so he would just come back in years 12024 ish

2025-01-13 23:41:34 +0000 UTCWas all around a good chapter, glad to hear Elizabeth is ok, but I hope to God Absalom doesn't return, he doesn't deserve to with how he's treated everything! But unfortunately if he was teleported away to suffer for the 10k years he could possibly come back, why doesn't he tell Roland exactly what he said so he can give his opinion on what the spell actually did instead of what it looked like?

2025-01-13 23:26:51 +0000 UTCMy thoughts on this chapter was Absolam was sent to hell. I never thought he was burnt from the inside out and then ceased to exist. Good story. Look forward to next chapter...

2024-11-02 23:41:16 +0000 UTCReally enjoying Kelsey’s devotion to him and ability to help calm him down. Natalie has become firmly my favourite, primarily because of her complete devotion to and submission to Kai. Being aggressive and brass with others, but completely 100% loyal to him, even if he didn’t have the ability to fully control her with a thought. Her devotion to him make that not ever an issue; because even if he does use it (like with Rachel’s halo and getting everyone out harms way, using her as extra arms to move everyone quickly) she is happy to have been useful to him, not resentful. Kelsey knowing she was created for him, and desiring that role, her whole life means she seems like she will be similarly loyal and supportive; just in a different role.

2024-09-02 03:34:55 +0000 UTCI feel like even if he did teleport away he should have still died. Kai lost his hand and enacted one of his powerful attack spells. So it’d feel cheapened if it didn’t actually happen. If he did teleport away it should be his burned eternal ash corpse that teleported away.

2024-09-02 03:30:00 +0000 UTCRhe flow of the sentence felt of at "when" in: "to guarantee I wasn’t completely helpless when an infant.", don't know why, just feels like a word is missing.

2024-07-23 06:48:14 +0000 UTCI just re-read the scene and it does read as if he teleported. Maybe it was some sort of defence mechanism that either he or someone else had placed on him or he was saved by someone else, rather than the spell going wrong.

2024-07-21 17:20:30 +0000 UTCCrossover indeed! The idea that Abel is Alistair's son is HUGE, like HOLY SHIT huge! As to Absolom being alive, I am unconvinced. Kai was so sure about everything else so completely based on his instincts, how could he be so completely wrong? Doesn't it make more sense he was teleported to hell to serve out that 10,000 years of that agonizing punishment?

2024-07-21 15:20:18 +0000 UTCKai's father transported away, just like Natalie thought Kai would too. Maybe he has the ability also.

2024-07-21 09:11:31 +0000 UTCSo this could be a nice twist, and I do enjoy the insight that Kai is coming to that his former self was a conniving, manipulative, self-serving asshole. I do enjoy this story quite a bit. But try not to get too caught up in kai's inner monologue. When you get started, you have at times (not this time) gone on for far too long, to the point we get lost in Kai's runaway thoughts. Just my thinking on this.

2024-07-21 05:45:10 +0000 UTCI am not sure absolam or kai’s bio dad being alive is good thing or not, since kia did incinerate him and also lost his whole arm in a spell that would make his bio dad suffer pain of eternity. I also sense a combat healer cross over coming something to do with the queen or mother of the werewolves so to speak being a associate with kai’s old form.

2024-07-21 03:40:29 +0000 UTCThat was a brilliant chapter. I love Kelsey and her ability to curb Kai’s rage. The vision of Mel and tying both stories together was a twist I was I had not anticipated.
