FEEDBACK: Thoughts? About plans with Rosa, or anything else?
Who do you think Rosa should bond with?
Thoughts on Dante potentially 'not' being dead?

Agree with Noat. One of Dante's first thoughts/desire was to go find a woman. Not serve Kai out of gratitude and respect.

2024-02-02 05:22:51 +0000 UTCA very great chapter! I enjoyed the development this chapter had. The pacing the story is on right now is excellent. I like that Rosa is coming out of her shell and establishing herself more as a wife and a member of Kai's harem. Creating a bond with others will help her with that and make her a "legitimate" wife. An interesting combination would be a bond between Rosa, Gwen and Natalie because they are the only ones in a hierarchical relationship with Kai, alongside their romantic ones. I can't remember if Kai is in a master-servant bond with Serenity, if yes would could also add her to the mix. I think Dante is dead but can be revived if his body is re-attached. So in a sense, Dante is dead but not his body, like a machine not running because the parts that make it run have been disconnected. Kai should have been more careful and thorough before giving Dante his blood, but that said, I also believe that realization could not have been made before the incident. Dante's mindset and desires were only for his gain and the pledge of loyalty was only to show gratitude rather than wanting to be his servant. Dante being a powerful vampire also did not help. I think deep down in his core (as that is a theme in the story) he would have wanted to be no one's servant. That makes him different to everyone else when they get Kai's blood. Mostly everyone else wanted Kai, wanted to be his and have him in return, I think Michell and Rosa are an exception and possibly Claire too. But what I am trying to say is that I think because Dante's true desires were very different to everyone else's played a huge factor in him going against Kai.

2024-01-31 21:51:19 +0000 UTCWe have two possible drastic cases of extreme regeneration that Kai has imbued in others. Claire obviously is the most recent. She was screaming as most of her body was disintegrating into ash, but came back after all she was mostly a head and shoulders. How much of that was Kai's blood and how much of it was Claire being a phoenix? It's open to speculation really. I tend to think a phoenix cannot massively regenerate, but when it does die *poof* instant reboot. The second is Michelle. She regenerated after being dead for a half hour. That was impressive, and leads credence to the thought that a creature who already possessed legitimate regeneration that Kai's blood would jump it to a whole new league.

2024-01-27 00:51:22 +0000 UTCAs for the "Dante Redemption Arc," he really did try to kill Kai after Kai "redeemed" him with his blood, so it doesn't make all that much sense. However, maybe Dante's arm is the key. Maybe it is sentient or cursed or something and, having now severed it from Dante, perhaps when Kai puts Dante back together the possession will end and will restore Dante to a loyal ally. IDK -- but the possibilities with Rosa are really looking fun.

2024-01-21 22:47:16 +0000 UTCYou're right about Eve, I was thinking that in two days the full moon is supposedly in their story again and perhaps she could enter

2024-01-21 14:28:43 +0000 UTCRosa and Nat make sense. They have a sire bond to Kai. I think adding Rebecca would help her get a link. I bet Dante isn't dead. And his true love is Eve. I think Kai and the ladies would benefit from strategies in the future. Especially against strong threats. Maybe reinforce the barriers too.

2024-01-21 10:13:17 +0000 UTCI think Rosa and Claire should bond with Avery. My reasoning is that Claire and Avery share a sort of bond already. They are classmates and they both hold Kai in such high regard. And as for Rosa I am getting the vibe that she will bring out a bit more of a kinkier side of anyone she will be bonded with. So I would like to see just how kinky Claire and Avery can get..

2024-01-21 06:37:50 +0000 UTCAnother thing that bothers me about the way Kai chose to fight Dante. I understand that Miriam's barrier probably blocks magic, and conceivably kept Dante from him attacking Kai across the barrier. But Kai couldn't just call down a flame strike on Dante's head? It sounds like Kai's magic doesn't have to move away from him vertically to go through Miriam's barrier. Miriam even brought it up before his visit to the funeral that he could just use a small fraction of his power to ignite a flame between an enemy's ears to instantly incinerate his brain. *Fight over after less than a second*

2024-01-21 06:15:29 +0000 UTCPart of me would genuinely enjoy a Dante redemption arc, but part of me really agrees with Kai that Dante crossed the Rubicon when he tried to kill him. Barring some kind of revelation that Dante was out of his mind with blood lust it just doesn't feel possible for him too be able too regain everyone's trust. After all, he wasn't a raging beast, lashing out at everyone around him. He specifically hunted Kai and tried to consciously use magic to disintegrate him. It's not he was in a bezerk frenzy and tried to rip him apart with his fangs and claws.

2024-01-21 06:02:32 +0000 UTCWait, I thought we knew Eve exists and that she's the MC's most loyal companion but we haven't met Eve in person yet.

2024-01-21 02:16:58 +0000 UTCIt's a very risky experiment I agree. It's worth doing the torso only test just so that the MC understands the limitations of Rosa's regeneration.

2024-01-21 02:14:44 +0000 UTCI don't know about Dante losing his arm he has come back from that but losing his head is another level all together. As far as Rosa goes I think Eve would be a fit Claire would be to hot to handle for her I think

2024-01-21 01:51:34 +0000 UTCKinda believe Dante is in a type of stasis/suspended animation like when Miriam stabbed him in the heart. He didn’t die just went into hibernation, If Kai wants to experiment it’s probably a good idea to make him into a limbless torso before reattaching his head

2024-01-21 01:29:34 +0000 UTCThe possibility of Dante being part or pure wraith opens that possibility than if he was just a vampire though, no? I gotta be honest I don't know much wraith lore which is part of what made this twist so cool.
Moi465
2024-01-21 01:16:29 +0000 UTCYet another excellent chapter, just when I think most of the possibilities have played out you introduce the wraith concept which is "spect-tacular" (Lil specter pun there). Your world crafting and storyline are excellent, your big twists are usually hard to predict (which is rare for me) and your cliff hangers are killers. I love both stories this and CH. Keep up the great work! I think they should bond tactically, Rosa and Natalie should bond as the attack group although Rosa is more of a silent assassin so maybe group her with someone that develops powers more to that same skillet. I would love to read more about their skill development and flexibility for all the characters not just Rosa and the MC. In terms of Dante being alive or dead, a cool possible arc would be that he knits himself together, kills Roland with a surprise regeneration back-stab and then run off so he's always something to worry about. Another possible arc would be more a Dante redemption where the meeting happens the MC goes to incinerate him and he allows the action causing a rethink and extreme measures being added to make sure he'll be loyal (blood oaths kinda thing). Dante dead arc kinda closes the door on a lot of possibilities but it does leave behind some lessons learned like being more careful who to turn, always test loyalty and be more prepared. From reading I'm thinking you may more likely go the Dante redemption arc which will be pretty cool to read. Honestly I'll be happy with whatever path you choose. 😌

2024-01-21 00:53:35 +0000 UTCIf Dante isn’t dead yet, then his blood is far more powerful than he thinks and the problems it’s going to cause for his brother are endless, which kind of sucks as an outcome.
