FEEDBACK: Thoughts?
1. We finally got an update on Wren (and 'sort of' Princess Erika). I will probably continue their situation in the next chapter, likely from Princess Erika's perspective, before going back to Mel/Val/Lyla. Thoughts on what is happening there?
2. What did you think of the 'letter' that Allister left the mother?
3. Were you expecting that twist at the end?

The difference in time doesn't seem to be that huge though, assuming they can get out, if the mother was the "big bad" of the dungeon then is she considered defeated which would then maybe trigger the closure of the dungeon? Given that both eyes are no longer together and a drop in intelligence was mentioned I assumed she would be considered a lesser Eldritch and I don't know if a de-evolution would be considered as a defeat of the big bad.

2023-10-30 05:00:06 +0000 UTCActually, you're sort of correct. It is trying to entice prey. It does want a puppet. BUT that doesn't mean the princess will become a puppet. Hopefully in the next couple of chapters, I'll be able to make it clear what is going on with this particular artifact.

2023-10-29 23:22:23 +0000 UTCA year ago?! Okay, well, congrats on following through, I can barely follow through on things I planned to do the day before let alone a year ago! Interestingly, I thought the guy using a legendary artifact that can be bound to anyone, like a cursed legendary artifact that was bound to the princess so that he can always track her and if he allowed it to get too close to her it would either cause a lot of pain (a living hell sort of thing) or it would turn her into a limited puppet of sorts. From what the weapon was saying I figured it was trying to entice prey. I got that incredibly wrong lol.

Nor does he necessarily believe she would be able to wield it at full power (similar to how Mel couldn't wield her staff at full power right away). And to be honest, she won't be able to wield it at full power. But...that being said... I am hoping that chapter turns out as crazy intense as what I've been envisioning since I first came up with the idea like a YEAR ago.

No need to make an enemy if you don't need too, plus it sounds like Allistar's main nemesis is actually this male greater eldritch, not Blake's mom. I am really looking forward to seeing this bonded artifact of Erika's and what it can do. But if it's so powerful why would the lord pursuing Blake risk allowing it to get close to her?
