cackling at the jokes as always. 10/10 for "vam-peers". Fascinating and layered religious discussion here. Delightful set up for the vampiric conversation. "relegation to the shadows which were inaccessible to God" is a killer line, by the way. I'm only 8 min in so far, so I don't know if much discussion is had about Twilight, but with the comment above referencing Twilight I think back to how I've always wanted someone to unpack or explore the way that Bella's need and demand to have sex while human (against everyone's-- including the vampires-- recommendation for the sake of her safety) interacts with the beliefs of Stephenie Meyer herself and the layered implications of her faith through the vampiric lens... especially in relation to the idea of it feeling premarital even though they were married on paper and also with the "unprotected sex still leading to consequences no matter how sure they were" angle. It all feels a very tangled pot of spaghetti. I feel like it interacts with the predatory elements you're alluding to so far in a peculiar way. My friend--a horror aficionado-- also commends your ability to speak with fangs in with minimal lisping. It's hard work apparently.
