Sister Doulce commented with the young José Cícero Categeró about Saint John the Baptist (not to be confused with Saint John, the apostle of Jesus) the Prophet who, after getting sick of the local corruption, literally went into the desert and stayed there, praying and fasting (eating locusts and honey after fasting) to feel spiritually prepared for the arrival of the Messiah.
There, he preached to whoever he could and thus even gained some disciples. Two of them, Andrew and John, would later become disciples of Jesus. In fact, Saint John the Baptist BAPTIZED JESUS CHRIST! He was even humble and said "I'm not worthy to even tie the sandals on your feet" but Jesus still convinced him.
It's all there in the books of Saint Matthew, Saint Mark and Saint John (now, yes, the apostle)
Young Cicero was so inspired that he later became a priest. And yes, I will bring more of him here in the future.
