Weekly news: episode 27 in alpha version, Cover of book 3

Hi, sorry for no post last week: I focused my attention deeply around two things: completing the storyboard of episode 27 and beta-testing Krita git~master during the recent Krita Sprint. 

Here is what happened:

- Websites maintainance of Pepper&Carrot and davidrevoy.com is hard (hundreds of articles, thousands of comments) ; I have many crackers continuously attacking the websites capcha to enter their spams on the comment boxes. One plan for 2019 is to improves the situation and refresh a bit both website. Mockup and plan on Framagit.

- Glénat (French publisher of Pepper&Carrot) commissioned a cover for the book 3. The license will be CC-By and files, sources, and hi-res will be available. Here is a proposed sketch and then a "grisaille" grey work in progress of a second idea:

- Krita can now edit and compose multiline text and it was very useful during the Storyboard of episode 27. Unfortunately, even if the tool uses SVG the tech of Krita doesn't bridge well with Inkscape yet to port the text to the translation. I had to retype all in Inkscape.

- Episode 27 alpha was posted in English on Framagit and the English was corrected and proofread by eight contributors! The collaborative system works better and better [spoiler alert] This Framagit issue contains links to the storyboard and all discussions about it[/spoiler]. The storyboard of episode 27 took me the most of time, because I had to re-do it almost from scratch a second time (my text scenario didn't produced something I liked after I ported the words into panels, I had to rework it a lot). 

Now it is time to finalize all the draft panels artworks of Episode 27. The episode has six pages and 33 panels. That's a lot of paintings to manage in a short time. I'll revisit my workflow "grey to color" and take notes for a future tutorial about this aspect of recoloring a grey artwork in Krita (but that will be for after episode 27). I hope I'll have a lot of pretty black&white detailed panel to show you next week. Thank you again for the support!
