Episode 20: The Picnic

This time, I'm posting here on Patreon the link to read it directly on the website (and not posting a big image of the webcomic itself here on Patreon as I did before ). Episode 20 is about Carrot's pragmatism, and how little things can change a life. Sources and hi-resolutions are already on the website ( in menu 'Sources' ). For translations, they will come soon because I sent a notification only yesterday to the Pepper&Carrot translators. ( this episode is silent, and doesn't need urgent translation ). I hope you'll like this new episode, I invested a lot of heart and energy into it! Now it's time to start a new challenge: "The potion contest 2" ! I'll keep posting my progress. Wonderful episode. The fusion of line art and purely painted areas works very well. Together with your rich yet subtle coloring, the illustrations feel very classic and 'traditional' in the best sense of the word. I noticed this effect especially in panels 1, 2, 7 and 8, which totally pulled me into the scenery. I also like the feeling of motion I get from the unicorns. Thanks for sharing!

Ha oui, à présent que tu le dis, je vois d'où m'est venue la séquence de gradation de nuit à jour dans l'ep20 ; inconsciemment, je me fais influencer :-) Ca doit être ça l'inspiration. Merci. Aussi, bravo pour le concours! Pour le layout, c'est vrai que c'est pas évident ; l'histoire commande tant d'elle même parfois. Merci pour les encouragements et le mécènat encore! Depuis notre rencontre sur Toulouse, je vois que tu n'as pas chômé, comme d'habitude, avec la refonte du site sans CDN, portrait GNU/Linux et cet épisode 20 . Je constate aussi que tu as dérogé à tes règles de "layout" avec le panel oblique "nuit-aube-jour". Si j'ai pu t'inspiré avec mon "Super Héron", j'en suis ravi. D'ailleurs, Je serais heureux, si tu acceptait de placer un héron en background dans un futur épisode ;) De mon coté, j'ai gagné mon concours. Donc merci encore, pour les échanges et les conseils sur la composition. Je te souhaite de bonnes fêtes de fin d'année.
