Hi, and Happy New Year 2015 ! A lot of things are happening here right now for Pepper&Carrot , and I'm working a lot on it. Here are the news : * New website : I'm building a dedicated website for Pepper&Carrot ; the address will be www.peppercarrot.com. The website will have plenty of new illustrations, a fan-art category, a FAQ, a 'news' system only related to Pepper&Carrot, a page with faster downloads for the sources and the whole structure will be ready to host multilingual content. It's a big step, and also implies to rebuild my website www.davidrevoy.com to not suffer too much of the database split, and keep redirecting the Pepper&Carrot readers ( around 1000 per day ) to the new website. Also, I'm switching to a faster server. All static contents ( such as the jpg comic pages ) will be mirrored across 17 other servers around the world ; it will boost the access to read the comic, and download the sources. My Patreons +3$ will receive visual when I'll get first screenshots ready. * New story , 'the Potion challenge' : The next episode will be a bit longer than previous. I keep trimming and adding new panel in the storyboard. I'm still not happy with it. All my time goes at the moment to the website ( and illustrations for the website ) and my freelance commissions, so it's not easy and frustrating to not do fast progress on the side of episodes. Mea culpa. The potion challenge will happen in Komona city, and the city received more design attention and 3D modeling. I'll also introduce other witches and their pets ; I'm working on them to make them as detailed as Pepper and Carrot. Here are new names : Coriander and Mango, Saffron and Truffle, Badian and Litchi... Asian and Voodoo witches incoming for secondary new characters. My humble way to make Pepper&Carrot webcomic more open and representative. I'll send preproduction artworks to my Patreons +3$ when they will be ready. * New tools : The open-source digital-painting software I use -- Krita -- has a new '2.9beta' and needs beta-testing and care. So, I did the switch to it and I'm testing it daily , do bug-reports and work on the creation of a new set of brushes. I also adapt my workflow to the new amazing features. I'm also using more and more Blender in my tests. Especially since I discovered the plugin BLAM. This plugin does camera matching over 2D artworks. I'll use it on the Komona city landscape backgrounds. I also switched my operating system to Linux Mint 17.1 at start 2015 after an epic time of cleaning and backup. BLAM, Mint 17.1, new Krita and new brush kit ... a lot of new topic for new tutorials too. That's all, thanks again for all your support ! -David
