Here’s the finished linework, I’m going to go all in on the colours for this one, give it a real cyberpunk vibe kinda thing, very dirty and grimy with lots of colourful lighting, but at the same time lots of dingy browns and greys.

The imperium use a multitude of methods to generate energy, but the primary method is by drawing it from a parallel universe to our own which is abundant with energy, like the ELAN and the FLUX. I dare say she has many a super weapon developed for when the eventual Tandrax-imperium war begins, but for now she is hiding her power and biding her time.

Callum Diggle

Of course, i personally feel thats something you managed to achieve with thr first volume and definetely will with the second!

Alien Person

Thanks man, I just want the book to be something that people want to pick up and come back to, not just read once and sit on the shelf

Callum Diggle

I’d imagine so 😉

Callum Diggle

Haha Thanks Omar!

Callum Diggle

Bar fight!

Gabu

i’m imaging that crowd is having a VERY difficult time deciphering those strange glyphs on the top of the bar

Miningation

Wow, this is some Where's Waldo level detail

Omar Molotov

Man, you're really going all out with the double page spreads and other highly detailed shots for the second volume, you love to see it :)

Alien Person

I figured that the Imperium has access to enough energy to move a planet in a practical manner, were do they get their energy from anyways? Do you think AM could create some sort of psionic amplifier unit and use those to interfere with the automated defense systems of a Tandrax Dyson swarm? If so, the Tandrax would be practically helpless to stop her.

Should’ve slapped a couple of rags on his shoulders like he is in the middle of three different conversations with barflies giving sage advice whilst serving drinks and wiping the table a true multitasker who doesn’t/can’t turn his back on his punters being loyal and radially symmetric

Ryan

Haha Why don’t you climb off my glonks mannn. Whatever he does just don’t give a Velousian salt

You could use the word eat, I’d say it’s more along the lines of processing and recycling. Numbering the imperium is difficult because their tools, vehicles and buildings are all living, it sort of blurs the lines a bit when trying to calculate. On a single Womb-world for example, the entire surface of a world is coated with imperium life forms, meaning that a single imperium world would easily reach 1 trillion in population. In terms of military units though, each system would most likely number in the 10s of billions. I won’t say no because that’s a really cool idea, but basically moving a planet is a completely different ballgame to moving a star. You can move a star by redirecting its light to create thrust, with a planet you’d effectively have to push a tremendously large dead mass by expending copious amounts of energy. With that being said, you could alter a planets orbital path so that it intersects with a wormhole. This could be done using a gravitational pulling using a very large object that influences the planet ever so slightly whist firing it’s thrusters in such a manner that it can keep itself from falling into the gravity well and also consistently pull the planet in one direction, like a gravity tug. The trouble would come when entering the flux on an unalterable flight path though. Perhaps large asteroids could be redirected through a wormhole, take a precisely guided flight through the flux and reenter our plane at relativistic speeds on a trajectory at the nearest Tandraxian Dyson swarm. The trouble is though, any form of celestial mobile base is an easy and slow moving target that is unable to course correct effectively enough to avoid collisions and counter attacks. An imperium leviathan can punch through a Star-engines shield, the imperium have means to fight the Tandrax, it’s just a numbers game that isn’t in their favour right now. The All-mother is doing her best not to kick the hornets nest before she’s suited and booted and ready to tango.

The my recycle the biomass to form wombworlds to then birth ships weapons and troops

Ryan

You said at one point that the Imperium don't use Relativistic projectiles because they want the biomass on a planet, does this mean they eat their enemies? Do you think there are trillions of Imperium per system as every asteroid, moon, planet and other celestial object has been turned into a habitat? Could the All-Mother turn planets into ships to serve as moving fortresses to attack Tandrax Dyson swarms? You can fit a lot of power generators on a planet that could make energy weapons powerful enough to break through shields. Are there certain things like Black holes that can penetrate a Tandrax shield without having to overcome its energy?

Erika Spooner

A pekt barman is just genius but I’d be worried about getting the wrong drink like “ay i ordered a kolaxan stout, this is a Bo cocktail” And the barman just murmures “get off my glonks”
