Let's Work on Those Side Panels

I was extra rambly today

I actually quite like the black and yellow too, but the bus won't be at all yellow when I'm done with it. I'm trying to make it look a little less school-bus-y one subtle change at a time.

Hey Robert, since you want to remove the black horizontal bars on the outside, do you plan to paint black stripes instead? I think the black and yellow looks really good.

I have a Lumix gx85 myself, I love it. Get yourself some filters for it. 37mm for the standard lens it came with

I actually became a patron this month because I suspected the recession would hit people dependent on ad revenue and sponsorships really hard. I'm glad I'm not the only one, and I suspect I'm also not the only one doing this more out of solidarity than because of the daily videos, so don't feel pressured into keeping that going indefinitely. Thanks for the great content, and I'm glad we'll soon be able to see you fling metal struts at yourself using your saw in high-def.

It's always a treat watching your videos! I don't know what it is, but it's just plain enjoyable seeing you work on projects and talking about them. I do some similar stuff, but less skillfully, so it's interesting to see how you approach things. Also, the comment section often has a lot of insightful tips. But it's only fun to watch videos where you have fun, so take care of yourself and don't feel like you have to keep production up or do certain types of content just to please people. Do whatever makes you happy, and don't beat yourself up when a day didn't turn out like you wanted it to. And hopefully you don't run into too many toxic fans like this Youtuber: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggpZnR9NMEA

There was a spot left unground on the driver's side and I kept thinking... "He'll come back to it, right?" Do what you need to do to keep your mental state where it needs to be. Many of us are feeling the impact of the current situation and while I love watching your videos before bed, make sure they are the videos you want to make. We will be here either way.

I am an aviation photographer, and I recently upgraded to a Canon 77D because my older Canon T4i mirror lift motor went out. I absolutely love the camera. DSLRs can be a challenge to use, and especially for video. I have never experimented much with long video, but I have done a few clips here and there, and I love it. But, I upgraded the camera specifically for photography. Great to see that you are happy with your decision! I know a DSLR camera is certainly not for anyone. Glad to see you had more energy today as well!

Indeed. It was blinking in this video because I unplugged it from the battery

Aging Wheels

Didn't you say in a previous video that blinking red on the battery charger meant it wasn't working?

the 30 minute limit is due to an obscure tax on "video cameras" which has been defined as cameras capable of recording more than 30 minutes at once

Micah Reid

I just hit the buy button on the new camera! Hopefully it won't take a month to ship. And yes, motivation is hard to find right now. It's already hard as a self-employed weirdo on the internet, but the current situation adds a little more to that.

Aging Wheels

Wow, I've never noticed the camera quality until this video, you shouldn't have said anything :P Also, this staying at home stuff isn't helping anyone... It's certainly tough to feel motivated right now.

Taking a day is sometimes just what the doctor ordered!!

Thank you for talking about your mental health. People like you help normalize it for many others. <3

Madison Kelly

The mental health issue is not unexpected right now from anyone. I've been dealing with it for a while myself. I'm fairly certain I can speak for everyone when I say we understand. I'm glad you're feeling better than you were yesterday
