The Script is complete.

Blue lines are the YouTube/Media references, red lines are visual ideas, bold is emphasis, accent and intonation, there are a bunch of gaps for the differences in parts and gaps for some other ideas that are coming in but it's finished.

Not that you guys would be able to tell considering how ridiculous it looks at that size but man, I am just happy to be at this point.

For each part, I essentially re-draft one last time and then record, to try and make sure it's all in a suitable tone. I have managed to pull off the recording for the first half of part 1 with another 14 hours remaining.

Like I said the whole thing is filled with references that might explain the final word count of:

155,927

But I am expecting a 15 hour series when it's finished. Exciting stuff :D

If you haven't heard, I have started a second channel that is housing my streams, which have evolved into what is essentially a response to popular video essays with friends.

It's worked out pretty well so far in terms of fan interest and it's basically just replaced my weekly stream so there's no time lost. If you want to check out the "Every Frame a Pause" Podcast, then there are four episodes already available:

Outside of that, we have "The Predator" releasing and it looks awful, it's getting rather panned by many of the people I have heard from and I am seeing it today. Depending on how it goes, I will likely be pausing progress on the TFA series to take a week out and make a video for it.

But after that, each of the updates will start showing timeline updates, which I mean. Good god, it has been ages since I have been able to edit so I am actually looking forward to hours of cutting pasting and snipping :D

Thanks again for your patience, we are finally past the scripting phase for this monster, now we're down to the technical side, which is much easier to predict in terms of how long it will take, see you next update folks :) /

The Script is complete.

Hi Mauler would you be able to make this a pdf or something and accessible just for one of my media projects. Ideally the outlast one you did but this would be great also

Grandgregtauro

I absolutely love this. You can be sure, I will be sharing your videos and trying to get all my friends to take the time to listen to 15 hours of the robot breaking down the Force Awakens, and giving me a point of reference that people can't refute with, "Oh, if you're not bogged down with friends or family, you have time to learn whatever you need to survive. Like piloting. Or Mechanics. Or Shyriiwook. Or marksmanship. Or the Force." God, I hate the excuses people will use to negate my points...

I'm looking forward to this. I have to say that 15 hours sounds like a big investment on our collective ends as well. I'll be very curious to see how people are going to react to it. At the moment, I'd prefer something like 4 hours (max) per movie should do. I get it that this is going to be "your masterpiece" and there's nothing wrong with that, please don't continue to crank out 15 hour critiques of movies as that means there will be nothing left for me to do once they drop. ;)

Oliver Gehrmann

I'm somewhat familiar with these things and it's the first time I'm hearing about it, so yeah, thanks for the warning! :)

Just a heads up, you might want to make a version with no clips or soundtrack in (only stills, and maybe poor quality stills at that) for when the EU copyright directive comes into force. That won't be until January but it is going to fuck up everything on YouTube for a huge portion of the audience. People can VPN but many won't realise this is an option.

So exited, I've literally binge watched all of your content in 2 weeks and I'm so ready for more. Your Soma review was my favorite so far, but I love it all.

Man. That's a decent-sized book you got there. "Way to go, Dallas!"

Drax Luthor

Damn only 15h! Jokes aside can't wait to hear it. Be wear of Predator, heard it was a giggle fest how awful it is.

For your rage of The Predator you should make sure there's no pirated clips so when 20th Century tries to shaft your masterpiece you can fight it earlier. We don't want 20th Century following in Universal's footsteps ;)

I want it to be a weekly release, which means I will have a bunch of them completed before the first one releases as I want these to have the best editing that I can pull off so being between 2 and 3 hours each means I need at least 2 weeks per full edit. I was surprised that they turned out this long but man, I have a lot of things I want to talk about and they work as tangents from the film as I progress. Really looking forward to putting it together for you folks :)

That's honestly just awe-inspiring, but also intriguing: I wonder what kind thing will you talk about that make it so long? Are you going to reference OT and throughly discuss about them in TFA as well? Also, when the first part droped is it going to be released weekly like how TLJ critique was? Anyway, I'm really hyped for this series. Unbridled rages are fine, but what separated you with others is always your long form critique and I just can't wait to get another series. Beside that, now you'd be referenced as "Angry white man ranted for 15 hours on TFA" and it will be really hilarious to just look at.
