Blurb From Smoked
Added 2024-08-27 16:00:12 +0000 UTCJust as an update, I'm in the middle of reviewing the edited manuscript for Smoked. I should finish that today, and my usual process is to read through everything one final time. (Basically, even professional editing/proofing doesn't always catch every typo, so one last read-through never hurts.) Hopefully at that point I'll be ready to hit "Publish."
In the meantime, I thought I'd share the blurb for this one (although I reserve the right to change it - even at this late hour):

Smokescreen – the wisecracking, best bud of teen super Kid Sensation – has his first solo adventure!
Unlike several of his friends, Smokescreen isn’t anything close to a household name. With a power set that most view as little more than a parlor trick, he’s nowhere near the top of the list of folks to call in an emergency. Ergo, it’s a bit of a surprise when he’s recruited by another super-powered teen, Atalanta, for a covert mission.
Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a simple operation swiftly morphs into something incredibly convoluted…and unimaginably dangerous. Although no stranger to perilous situations, Smokescreen unexpectedly ends up at the center of events with global implications – and facing a threat that even the greatest of supers would find daunting.
As the menace grows and the danger becomes nothing less than apocalyptic in scale, it soon becomes apparent that the fate of the very planet is at stake. But can a guy historically known for a D-List superpower – the ability to make smoke – actually save the world?
