Undersea City from Kid Sensation #11
Added 2024-05-26 21:00:03 +0000 UTCI've talked a bit before about how Kid Sensation #11 (working title: Generation) will be a team-up between Jim and the Pelagic Prince, who hails from an underwater kingdom. As is typical, I've got a lot of ideas, and several of them involve Jim visiting the Pelagic Prince's home. With that in mind, I asked an AI image generator to create a pic of a city under the sea. (To be specific, I think I asked for a "futuristic underwater city.") Here's the result:
I don' t think this is bad. It's probably a little difficult to grasp that this metropolis is supposed to be underwater - especially with a river running through it and clouds above - but it's a solid effort. (And I'd argue that the fish swimming through the "air" provide a gentle hint that this is an aquatic environment.) As always, this isn't an image I'd opt for as cover art, but it's useful in helping me visualize an underwater milieu, if necessary. (No promises, though, that said city will get visited in the book.)
