Update on Smoked
Added 2023-04-23 19:56:01 +0000 UTCI thought it was time for an update on the Smokescreen novel (working title: Smoked). In essence, I think that if I can get a good two weeks, I can wrap it up. However, that’s actually been the case for a while, but I haven’t been able to find the requisite time.
Basically, I’ve been swamped for a while now with a bunch of non-writing stuff, and it’s seemingly infinite. When one would end (for instance, jury duty) another would begin (e.g., taxes). And – like most people – I was typically juggling more than one ball at a time. That’s not to say that I wasn’t able to get any writing done; I just haven’t been able to work at the pace or to the extent that I wanted. In short, any time I built up a full head of steam, something would happen to siphon it off or the amount of time I had available would get curtailed.
Thankfully, I think I’m at a good spot now. I’ve still got some balls in the air, but I believe I’ve got enough breathing room to finish. That said, making that kind of statement always seems to jinx things; nevertheless, I'm going to try to wrap up Smoked in the next few weeks, but hopefully by the end of next month at the latest. Then I’ll be turning my attention to Kid Sensation #10, followed by the Vixen novel. That's the current plan, but as I usually say in regards to this stuff, keep your fingers crossed...
