AI-Generated Superhero Images

I recently mentioned how I started using stock images in some of my promotions. It's been helpful because it provides a bit of variety in addition to using my cover art. However, I recently found myself becoming more and more impressed with some of the images being generated by AI. That being the case, I asked one of the stock-photo sites if they would consider incorporating that technology into their platform. Much to my surprise, they said they were already working on it.

Fast forward a week or so, and a different stock-photo site, Shutterstock, announces that users can now create AI-generated images on their platform. Naturally I jump on it, and one of the first things I ask is for it to create a superhero image.  More specifically, my request was "Photo of blonde female superhero."

Here's what I got:

Okay, it admittedly leaves something to be desired. However, I'm not going to [completely] blame the AI here.  For starters, I didn't actually have a particular image in mind in terms of the end product; I really just wanted to see what it could/would do. (Alright, I did think she'd be younger...)  In addition, I'm admittedly new to this, so I assume that I have to learn how  to word my descriptions so that the text-to-image process more accurately reflects an end product I'd like.

In retrospect, there's obviously a lot of potential here, so it's worth it to keep playing around and see what else the AI can produce.
