Alpha League Books
Added 2022-12-21 10:06:59 +0000 UTCOn a fairly regular basis, I tend to hear from readers saying how much they like my work. This is usually in reference to the Kid Sensation novels, and it always makes my day because there are few things that an author likes to hear more than that. In short, I'm blessed in that my work has managed to resonate with so many.
But lately the comments have been skewing in a different direction: more and more people have been stating how much they liked the Mouse novel and are asking when they can expect other Alpha League books. As I've said many times, the plan was always to write more of those books and they're actually in the queue (e.g., the Vixen novel, the Feral book, etc.), but - if I were to judge only by recent comments - that particular fan base is either growing or is simply becoming more rabid (and I mean that in a good way).
Needless to say, this type of thing puts a smile on my face. Mouse's Tale received a warm reception from readers upon publication, and it's nice to see that fans of my work want to see more of the Kid Sensation universe from that perspective. Honestly, I was a little worried at first because it was a bit more mature in terms of language and theme than the Kid Sensation books, but fortunately the book was embraced upon release and is still finding an audience. It's hard to ask for much more than that. More impotantly, it suggests that other books in the series may find readers eagerly awaiting their release, so I can't wait to make that happen. (But just FYI: the Vixen book, which is the next Alpha League novel, is two books back in the queue - behind Smoked and Kid Sensation #10).
