Happy Holidays!

Hopefully everyone has been enjoying themselves or found something worth celebrating during the holiday season. Personally, I feel blessed – especially in terms of friends and family (although the kids often drive me crazy). I’m also extraordinarily grateful for my readers, and in particular those of you who support me on Patreon. Thanks so much for that.

In terms of writing, there’s a recent post on my website that includes an excerpt from an upcoming Kid Sensation book. That passage will likely be in Book 13 of the series, but that’s not set in stone yet. 

As to the storyline, I think the excerpt sets the stage pretty well: in essence, the youthful Jim that we all know and love is recruited to stand in place of his future self. This will allow me to offer up some juicy tidbits about Jim’s future without giving away the farm. Hopefully readers will enjoy seeing what’s in store for Jim in terms of wife and family (e.g., his kids and the types of powers they have).

In regard to a timeline for releasing the books, every time I mention something along those lines I just seem to jinx it. (In other words, I’m way behind…) That said, Warden 4 is next in the queue, so I will try to get it finished in the next few weeks. As to what comes after that, I’ve flip-flopped a few times between the Smokescreen book and the next Kid Sensation title, but at the moment I’m leaning towards Smokescreen – mostly because, chronologically, the action it encompasses has already occurred in the Kid Sensation universe. (The action takes place just before Jim returns to Earth from Caeles.) That being the case, I feel a need to get that story told sooner rather than later.  

In conclusion, I think readers will enjoy Jim's upcoming adventures, and I will work diligently to get them out as soon as possible. Beyond that, I again hope that everyone is enjoying the holiday season and looking forward to the new year.
