Warden 4 Cover Art (First Render)
Added 2021-02-25 14:07:13 +0000 UTCI'm running somewhat behind at the moment in terms of writing. We've been having internet issues at my house for about a month now, so my provider sent someone out and it looks like the problem may finally be resolved. (Emphasis on "may.")
The real setback, however, was that we were without power for much of last week. Without going into detail, let's just say that computers - like a bunch of other consumer products - don't run well without juice. That, in turn, tends to put a crimp in your writing.
Anyway, I'm working to get back in track, but in the meantime I thought I'd share the first render of the cover from the next Warden book:
The creature here is an Each-uisge, which I've mentioned before. It's generally defined as a type of water spirit that often takes the shape of a horse, but is typically considered vicious and violent. If you look it up online, you'll see lots of different images. For my purposes, I wanted it somewhat humanoid, and I think my cover artist did a good job in that regard. Of course, this is just the first render, so there are some things that will change before it's complete. (For instance, the swords the monster wields are supposed to be flaming.) Still, I think we're off to a good start.
