Audiobook Issues

The audiobook of Isolation (Kid Sensation #8) is now available.  In truth, however, it was actually released about a week ago.  I've held off on announcing it here, on Patreon, because I was waiting for ACX/Audible to fix a related issue. In short, their system isn't generating US promo codes for the audiobook.

I've probably mentioned it before, but I receive promo codes whenever I release a new audio title. Those codes can be redeemed by listeners for a free copy of the audiobook. My plan had been to offer codes for Isolation to my patrons first, and then to my other listeners.  

In the past, authors received 200 promo codes for each title - 100 for the Audible US store and 100 for the Audible UK store. Earlier this year, that number got cut back to 100 total (i.e., 50 for each store). More specifically, we only receive 25 codes at a time for each store. In this particular instance, I received 25 codes for the UK store, but none for the US.  The system says that it's generating them and that they'll be ready in a "few minutes," but it's been displaying that message for about a week. I've reached out to ACX/Audible and they're looking into the problem, but at the moment I have no idea when I will get US codes.

 Anyway, when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. With that in mind, I'm going to go ahead and offer the available codes to my patrons who may be interested. That said, I anticipate making it available to my other listeners around Thursday afternoon.)
