TTToTTT Day 5 Results

Well, Round 2 of The Topic Tournament of Twenty Twenty Three got off to an exciting start. Things are heating up and the choices are becoming tougher and tougher. Let's take a look at what happened over the past 24 hours...

First came GODZILLA vs. SURPRISE CAMEOS. When I was making the bracket I thought Godzilla was the toughest contender on there, and that no one would feel that strongly about cameos and it might get knocked out in the first round. Not quite. Godzilla won, but only 53% to 47%. This was a lot closer than I expected, so either people love cameos or Godzilla may not be the runaway favorite I predicted.

Our next match-up did not at all go as I predicted. CINEMATIC VIDEO GAMES faced off against LEGASEQUELS, and I knew these were both strong contenders, but I really thought video games would do better, since games are obviously so popular and this was a rare chance to get me to cover something I otherwise probably never will. But legasequels, probably powered by the success of [Best Picture Nominee] Top Gun: Maverick, cruuuiiiiiised to an easy victory, 60% to 40%. Could this be our top contender on this side of the bracket? Maybe!

So moving on to the semifinals are...

Man. I'd still love a surprise cameo episode. That's a sweet spot for Patrick humor

Oooh. Looks like we'll be shaping up for a Muppets Vs Godzilla match-up, and I'm TOTALLY HERE FOR THAT.

Allan Rousselle

Godzilla’s going all the way. I’m manifesting it.

Reade Bramer

Ooh also your bracket graphic is missing the new York one from the bottom right corner.

Justin Davis

I propose that your parents and sister get to pick one of the losing topics from the bracket and have you do it.

Sam Aronow

What are the odds of us getting a losers bracket? There are some good topics that may lose by a hair and I'd love to see how they stack up against each other for future videos.
