We Reached a Goal!

As you may have seen, today we hit the 1,400 patron goal (it actually happened live on the commentary stream with David Chen). This is the goal where, upon reaching it, I will purchase the $800 Art + Wine Collection - The Conversation Edition from the Francis Ford Coppola Winery, which consists of the following:
Copy of The Conversation script signed by Francis Ford Coppola
24 bottles of Directors Cut wine
Digital download of the film The Conversation
An invitation to a live online conversation (get it?) with Francis Ford Coppola
Anyway, we reached the goal, and the big ol' box o' wine has been purchased. It comes with free 2nd day air shipping, which is a pretty good deal.
I'm aware that this is the dumbest goal we've ever had on here. Essentially, you all showed up to encourage me to buy an absurd amount of wine. Which is very kind of you, unless your specific goal is to get me to destroy my liver.
But obviously I'm not just going to peace out and drive off into the sunset with my case of wine. I'm going to make a video about this...somehow. I've already started making a rough outline. It will involve The Conversation, as well as much of the rest of Coppola's filmography. It will involve wine. I don't know what this conversation with Francis will be (if you spend $800 on wine you're now on a first-name basis), but I hope I can incorporate it into the video somehow.
All I can say is that it will be a weird and loopy way of exploring one of the most interesting filmographies of any director out there. And there will be wine. So much wine. Oh god where am I going to put all this wine.
This video will probably happen in September. I'll update you if that changes.

Of course, all the wine and the script is something I should also not forget. I wanted to become a Patreon member for a long time, and it felt now right to do it. I am just so curious about what you will talk about in the video. I would love to hear your opinions about the films that Coppola has made. I am very looking forward to all the videos you will be making in the near future. I just want to wish you all the best of luck. And I hope you have a great zoom call with the one and only director.
