What Happened to Terrence Malick?

Look, we can't make every video about blockbuster action movies. We've gotta have some variety. So we're taking a trip to the art house today. Some of the people I mentioned this video replied with "Who's Terrence Malick?" so I don't see this one getting a ton of views.

But who cares? And anyway, I've done my best to make it accessible to people who have never seen any of his movies. It's still fun! I promise!

And if you haven't seen any of his movies, I would start with Badlands (his first film) and work your way through.

The general idea here is that Malick was this celebrated reclusive master filmmaker who would make like one movie per decade, and it would always be a huge deal. Then about 8 years ago he suddenly started making movies more regularly, with a lot of huge movie stars like Ben Affleck and Ryan Gosling...and no one saw them. I didn't see them! So I wanted to figure out what happened, and what the deal is with these recent movies that have been so widely ignored.
