The Next Video (Coming 6/26)

For the next one, we're taking a hard turn away from blockbuster franchises. We're going straight to the art house here, which means this one...probably won't get a lot of views. But who cares!

With this one, I'm fascinated how in the span of 2 years, Terrence Malick's movies went from being huge cinema events (The Tree of Life won the Palme d'Or) to movies that everyone (myself included) totally ignored. Like, his last three movies each made LESS THAN A MILLION DOLLARS despite starring the likes of Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Ben Affleck, Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett, etc. It's kind of crazy.

So this is going to reexamine his whole filmography (which isn't very long) to try to figure out if it's him that changed, or if it's us. Or both.
