This is one we've all been looking forward to. Even though the movie's reputation isn't very good, we're Brian De Palma fans, and the subject matter is fascinating. I even decided to read the original novel by James Ellroy in preparation for this episode.
And as it turns out, the film is very bad. This week we're joined by actress Comfort Clinton (Billions, The Daily Show), who we first worked with way back in "Aquaman: The Teen Drama," and mostly we get very frustrated with the movie, and I spend a lot of time explaining how the book does it all better. And once again, our boy Josh does good work but is let down by the material.
Another bad movie, another good episode, and it's worth listening to if only for Matt and Jake doing impressions of Sean Penn from Gangster Squad.
