The Best "Getting the Team Together" Montage Ever
Added 2017-10-12 18:00:21 +0000 UTCThis is a big one. It's been in the works since May, we shot it for all of August and some of September, and post production has taken weeks. But it's done.
As I mention in the video, it was inspired by this article from earlier this year, which ranked the best "getting the team together" montages in film history.
Since the article featured a rubric by which the scenes were graded, it was also providing a guide for how to make one of these montages, and how to do it well.
A lot of this is covered in the behind the scenes video, but basically we created a bunch of ridiculous characters, but them in an insane premise, shot in a ton of different locations, and I did my best to make it look an expensive movie on a budget of $48.
I wrote the script myself, but a lot of the best jokes came from Mike, Jake, and Matt. A lot of the character names were suggested by my Twitter followers (I'm bad at thinking of names so usually just outsource that to Twitter).
Anyway, I just landed in San Francisco, have barely slept and have a terrible cold. I hope you enjoy this video.
