Disclaimer: when we premiered this movie and I watched it for the first time I was kind of horrified by some unintended subtext in there. The script we used was a frantically-written first draft with zero editing or revisions, and many major plot points were included as requests from the cast ("hey, it would be fun if my character did THIS"). In other words, if you notice that, for instance, the female characters aren't treated particularly well, I'M AWARE and I still feel kinda shitty about it even if this is just a silly movie I made when I was 19.
But despite that there's some fun stuff in there. And hey, I'm still proud that I made a 100-minute-long movie.
ALSO: due to huge demand I AM MAKING THE OTHER MATRIX VIDEO ESSAY AND IT WILL DROP ON WEDNESDAY.
For the next month or so expect more "videos where I talk about movies and stuff" than usual, and then hopefully starting in June there should be a lot more narrative shorts. This is all a matter of my schedule and the team's schedule and working around both to make sure there's a new video every week.
