Meet the Team

An issue I've been aware of on the channel for a long time is that while there are a bunch of recurring cast members, the audience doesn't really know who they are, since they only appear playing characters performing scripted dialogue. But until last November, the videos were ALL narrative and released sporadically so there didn't seem to be a good opportunity to give the core video team a proper introduction.
Then once I started making weekly videos with more variety than I had before. And at YouTube NextUp I worked on figuring out a strategy involving different kinds of content. One of my goals was to add some videos ABOUT both us and our process. So finally we got to this video, in which almost all the information is totally true, but the video is also scripted and has jokes.
We have a ton of recurring cast members who didn't appear in this, because if I included everyone who ever appeared in videos this would have been impossibly long. The people here are the core team, the ones on the long e-mail chain we have to coordinate shooting schedules and give input on scripts.
Beyond that, it's pretty self-explanatory. We've got a cool team, so I hope you enjoy getting to know them. You get to hear Chloe sing and Scott freestyle rap (we did three takes of that and he did totally different stuff each time, it's scary how good he is).
Next week: a video essay where I get to dig into some of my favorite movies. I'm really excited about this one.
ALSO: over the weekend we started shooting the next Alternate Universe Comic Book Movie and so far it looks NUTS.
